A Farnham Engagement isn’t complete without a long walk through Hankley Common. James proposed to Imogen in August at the top on the Devil’s Jump, so it only made sense for their engagement photo shoot to be there. We trekked up the hill side with their dog Bella and I started snapping.
Engagement photo shoot
The weather was perfect for our adventure, just a little chill in the air to keep us cool. I didn’t know the area but James knew it like the back of his hand. We took a circular route that would lead us back to the car. This path wasn’t short but it did have a huge variety of locations. I could see why he’d chosen to propose here.
We started at the top of the Devil’s Jump and skidded down the hill to find a fallen tree. After wrestling Bella in a mossy field and finding some Alice In Wonderland style mushrooms, we walked along to one of the many ponds. These ponds are more like lakes but I guess it’s an affectionate name. On our walk back, we passed a forest of the straightest trees I’d ever seen. James told me that it’s where they filmed Gladiator.
The journey also gave us some time to talk about their upcoming wedding in December. With under four months to plan their big day, the pressure was on but they had everything covered. I’m really looking forward to their wedding in Berkshire at Christmas.
I hope you like the photos from our journey for this Farnham engagement photo shoot. If you’d like to join me in Hankley Common for your engagement shoot, I’d love to hear from you and explore this great location again.
