Hatfield House House Wedding
Being a Hertfordshire wedding photographer for Emily and Frazer’s wedding, I joined them for their wedding at Hatfield House. It’s a country house with romantic royal connections and add to the grand effect of the day.
After my first experience, Emily and Frazer invited me to add another view to their wedding. An angle that their wedding photographer might not have got. So I concentrated on close portraits of their friends and family. This allowed me to experiment with candid wedding photography. A style that I would continue to perfect and make my favourite style of photography.
Travelling between venues as a guest also gave me another perspective. I now love to travel with other guests, if it’s a bus, as in my car, I might miss some truly special moments. This is especially useful if the bride and groom travel this way too.
It was really kind of both Emily and Frazer to allow me to be apart of their special day. I continued to learn my craft and delivered a few different photos for them.
Hatfield House
After the ceremony, we all traveled to Hatfield House. I don’t think anyone was ready for the grandeur of this wedding venue. We were greeted by the huge house and made our way along to the hall with its high ceilings. It was here that guests could relax in the garden, enjoying a drink and eating candy floss. I took the opportunity to capture a few candid portraits. My style at this time was to get the guests to look at the camera and gladly that has now changed. I much prefer people to be engaged with their friends and to find the perfect moment.
